Self-Study Report or SSR
The Self-Study Report (or SSR) provides a quantitative and qualitative assessment and evaluation of the strengths and limitations of the program being submitted for review. Prepared for each program by the HEI, the SSR is intended to explain the extent to which the program meets applicable PTC criteria and policies as documented in CASEE, PTC’s accreditation system. The SSR is expected to provide sufficient information for a thorough on-site review of the program. It is necessary that the SSR address all methods of instructional delivery used for the program, all possible paths that students may take to completion of the degree, and all remote offerings available to students in the program.
All required copies of the SSR and the supplemental materials referred to in the SSR Guidelines shall be submitted to the PTC ACBET accreditation units, identified in the Guidelines, on or before July 31 but not later than 90 days before the start of the earliest accreditation review visit dates requested by the HEI.
PTC provides the SSR Guidelines) to assist the HEI and the engineering program in preparing the SSR and to demonstrate that the program satisfies all the accreditation criteria. To access the SSR Guidelines, please click here.
